ALBION SPONSORS ANOTHER FLYING SCHOLARSHIP

The Albion Aviation Group is proud to announce the sponsorship of another 12hr flying scholarship in partnership with the Air League. The scholarship supports aspiring pilots to gain further experience and is best suited to those who have already done some powered flying previously or for experienced glider pilots wanting to make the switch.  Scholars undertake their training as a residential course over approximately 10 days to ensure consistency in their learning and to allow training as a small group with other scholars so that a fun, open learning environment can develop. The Air League works with the Royal Air Force Sport Aircraft Flying Schools and other partner organisations in the UK to deliver the flying training.

Ian Morrison (Chief Executive of the Air League) comments: “We’re delighted that Albion Aviation Group have continued to offer support for a 12-hour flying scholarship. The Air League’s vision is to change lives through aviation, aerospace, and space, and it does this by inspiring, enabling and supporting the next generation.

Support from industry, such as Albion Aviation Group is pivotal to the future success of the Air League’s outreach. For too long, perceived barriers to entry have excluded young people from all backgrounds across the UK, but opportunities, such as scholarships act as a catalyst to spark the inspiration and realisation that aviation is accessible to anyone.”

Lewis King (Owner of Albion) comments: "I was once lucky enough to be awarded the same Air League scholarship back when I was 19 and I'm so grateful that I can now offer someone else the same opportunity. Despite the uncertainties that our industry faces, we must continue to engage and attract the next generation".
