ALBION TRANSPORTS TWO BELL 412 HELICOPTERS

The cargo charter specialists at the Albion Aviation Group are used to complex and challenging loads and this charter flight was no exception. Working closely alongside the aircraft operator and with extensive planning with the client, the Albion cargo team successfully transported two Bell 412 helicopters in an IL76 from Africa to Europe. The Bell 412 helicopters had to be carefully dismantled with the help of the client’s specialists engineering team before being repacked ready for loading in the IL76 aircraft. The Albion cargo team also flew out one of its experienced flight managers to oversee the aircraft loading and to ensure that everything was executed as planned.

Lewis King (Albion Aviation Group Director) comments: “This charter flight required meticulous planning to ensure both Bell 412 helicopters could be uplifted safely and securely in a single IL76 flight. Through the combined efforts of the client, aircraft operator and the ground handling agents at both the origin and arrival airports, the charter flight was a success and is another testament to Albion’s ability to handle some of the most complex of cargo charters.
