ALBION UPLIFTS TELECOMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT TO AFRICA
The Albion cargo team recently uplifted an urgent shipment of telecommunication equipment to Lagos, Nigeria. The shipment consisted of 535 skids, with a combined payload of 84,700kg/269.5cbm. Due to the high payload of this shipment a B777F was chosen as the preferred aircraft type for this flight. The B777F is a twin engine, widebody freighter aircraft and with its combination of superior range and outstanding fuel efficiency makes it a very popular and competitively priced aircraft in the ad-hoc cargo charter market. The Albion cargo team positioned one of its experienced Flight Managers to oversee the cargo handover at the departure airport. The charter flight was a success departing on time without delay, so as to ensure that the cargo met its tight delivery deadline into Lagos, Nigeria.
