The Albion Aviation Group was tasked to set-up an airbridge of relief flights to move critical relief to a remote airstrip in Africa.

The Albion cargo charter team proved themselves yet again when they were tasked to deliver a sizeable volume of urgent relief supplies to a remote dirt strip in Africa. The team had to asses the suitability of the airfield to establish the most suitable cargo aircraft for the mission. Factors to consider included the runway length, width, landing approach, airfield altitude and ground handling capabilities. In the end the highly versatile and ramp loading AN26 aircraft was selected for the mission, uplifting up to 4.7T of relief cargo per flight. The series of flights were carefully planned to ensure each flight took place during daylight hours and to avoid any major weather systems which the region is well known for. All flights operated to schedule and the airbridge was a success delivering a considerable volume of urgent relief cargo within a short timeframe.
